“According as His divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that hath called us to glory and virtue.” Read 2 Peter 1:3 (KJV). I am sure you will agree this text is fully loaded. Here, we clearly see God’s promise of provision both physically and spiritually. Now there is no reason for you and me to doubt His ability because God will never break His oath (an irrevocable statement).
Most people today are concerned about how they would be able to provide for their loved ones, and whilst that is good, the Bible is clear and tells us where and whom to focus on – His Word. “God is not a man, so He does not lie. He is not human, so He does not change his mind. Has He ever spoken and failed to act? Has He ever promised and not carried it through?” Read Numbers 23:19 (NLT).
Listen to this, “And God is able to make all grace [every favor and earthly blessing] come in abundance to you, so that you may always [under all circumstances, regardless of the need] have complete sufficiency in everything [being completely self-sufficient in Him], and have an abundance for every good work and act of charity.” Read 2 Corinthians 9:8 (AMP).
And here is another beautiful promise from God’s Word concerning provision, “The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.” Read Psalm 23:1 (NIV). Here is another verse of scripture, “But seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” Read Matthew 6:33 (NIV).
All I have done is read the scriptures as it is written. Everything you and me will ever need both physically and spiritually is provided in God’s Word, and you better believe this. I have laid out several scriptures to make the point. The Lord said, “…He will not fail you or abandon you.” Read Deuteronomy 31:6 (AMP). Someone who speaks like this surely has the wherewithal to do…
We write. You read. Be encouraged.
Yes amen. Thank you, Ricky, for reminding and pointing us back to the Word of God.
