I have never come across anywhere in the scriptures where God referred to us based of minority, gender or race, a million times no. Instead, He refers to us on the basis of His covenant, the blood of Christ. Now if God does not refer to you and me in the minority, then we must be the majority.
In the eyes of your heavenly Father, you are a giant. God’s evaluation of you is of the highest order such that He called you a “king and a priest” unto God. Read Revelation 1:6 (KJV). Your identity is not determined by the colour of your skin, the tone of your voice the school you went to neither does your socio-economic standing. And today in society, we see a lot of references to the “minority group of people.” Well, I am here to tell you, a child of God does and should not allow themselves to be labelled such. Who are you? Really, do you know who you are? Do you know who your Father is?
The Bible is filled with scriptures telling us about our identity and how God sees you and me. Therefore, I will highlight a few without interpreting it because it is quite self-explanatory, and it is imperative for you to understand and see for yourself what the Lord has said concerning you.
- “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a consecrated nation, a [special] people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies [the wonderful deeds and virtues and perfections] of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light.” Read 1 Peter 2:9 (AMP).
- “For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].” Read Ephesians 2:10 (AMPC).
- “And my present life is not that of the old “I”, but the living Christ within me. The bodily life I now live, I live believing in the Son of God, who loved me and sacrificed himself for me.” Read Galatians 2:21 (PHILLIPS).
The texts I highlighted above shows a common theme – chosen by Him. And there are a lot more, hence, I will encourage you to read for yourself God’s evaluation of you. This is a beautiful quote, “The instrument through which you see God is your whole self. And if a man’s self is not kept clean and bright, his glimpse of God will be blurred” C.S Lewis. Therefore, this is why I will say over and again that you should not allow yourself to be labelled as a minority or let anything or society disparage you in any way.
We are God’s best and you have been created for such a time as this to express and exhibit God’s strength with grace and effectiveness. Don’t accept the stereotype of society, and do not let it shape your worlds perspective.
You are in the class of God! You are not, no never some inferior class of being!! You are inferior to no one!!!.
We write. You read. Be encouraged.
Hey, this is super blessed. Thank you, Lord for creating me in your class, and I am eternally grateful to You my King and my Lord.
Blessings
