For anyone to lay claim and enjoy the benefits or rewards of any constitution, it is mandated that they are first of all citizens, either through birth, naturalization or adoption. In other words, you must have a stake in the ground. Now, think with me for a moment, the same applies to the Church Body. Listen to what the Bible says, Jesus answered him, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you unless a person is BORN AGAIN [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, sanctified], he cannot [ever] see and experience the Kingdom of God…” Jesus answered, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot [ever] enter the Kingdom of God.” Read John 3:3-5 (AMP).
First and foremost, “YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN” to be a beneficiary of the constitution of God. Remember the Bible says, “For God so [greatly] loved and dearly prized the world, that He [even] gave His[One and] only begotten Son so that whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Savior] shall not perish, but have eternal life.” Read John 3:16 (AMP). So here is my point, the grounds have been set, and all you have to do is lift up your hands, embrace God’s grace and love, then invite Him into your life, and allow Him to be the Lord of your life. You might be asking, why must one be Born Again before I can enjoy the benefits of God’s constitution? Glad you asked! The simple response is God said, “YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN.”
Whichever constitution you embrace has its consequences; some good and some bad and you will live by it. A recent quote, “elections have consequences.” See what the Bible says, “Before every man there lies a wide and pleasant road he thinks is right, but it ends in death.” Read Proverbs 16:25 (TLB). The constitution of the world says you must vote and be a card-carrying member, whilst the constitution of God is an election of grace, Selah. And I believe that is why the Bible says, “This is how much God loved the world: He gave His Son, His one and only Son.” Read John 3:16 (MSG).
As believers in Christ, it is our civic responsibility to be registered to vote. Political parties have what they call “Manifesto” which details their plan/agenda for the country or constituent if and when elected into office. Consequently, you see here how exercising your voting (constitutional) rights based on whose Manifesto you lean towards shape a nation? And that is the more reason we must have of a necessity refuse to be ignorant of one’s constitutional rights.
I am not sure why I am referencing voting, but wherever you are as a Christian in this world, go register and vote to uphold your Godly constitution.
We write. You read. Be encouraged.
