Knowing, embracing and living out your constitutional right is critically important to one’s success in this life. Recall the Bible verse which says, “In this [union and fellowship with Him], love is completed and perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment [with assurance and boldness to face Him]; because as He is, so are we in this world.” Read 1 John 4:17 (AMP). Newsflash, Jesus was a constitutionalist! Selah (pause and calmly think).
A constitutionalist understands and follows the constitution to the letter; they are not trying to manipulate or nullify the constitution to suit their selfish purpose. I believe, the challenges faced in our society and the Church can be traced to the fact that we are not fully sold out to the constitution. Now, like I alluded to in my previous post, the constitution of God’s Word supersedes all others.
Now there will be attempts by some who will try to circumvent the constitution, and this is not exclusive just so you know. More recently, the report shows there is a political party strongly opposing a constitutionalist Judge from being sworn into the Supreme court. One would think everyone should favour the constitution, right? But not so, and quite frankly, we do things that will come across as circumventing the constitution of God’s Word, but for His grace and mercy.
We can all theorize about the constitutional text, but one thing we must acknowledge and embrace is the constitution as set out in God’s Word; the sole source of law for the human race. The Bible puts it this way when Jesus said, “I am that Way, and that Truth, and that Life.” Read John 14:6 (MOFFATT).
The constitution of God is the only way, there is no other way. So here is a question, how then do we enforce our constitution?
We write. You read. Be encouraged.
Oh, I love this insight. Blessings upon blessings. This is very good.
