We know God as the God of LOVE, God of PEACE etc, but He is also the God of WAR. God is not to be trifled with. Sometimes we underestimate the power of God such that we pay little or no attention to Him when He is, in fact, the great defender.
See what the Bible says about the extent of God’s POWER, “…and upholding and maintaining and propelling all things [the entire physical and spiritual universe] by His powerful word [carrying the universe along to its predetermined goal].” Read Hebrews 1:3 (AMP). This is why I said folks, God should not be trifled with. He is all-powerful. And when we keep ignoring His counsel, we diminish His power in our lives.
Let us check out what the Bible says.
“And He Himself existed and is before all things, and in Him, all things hold together. [His is the controlling, cohesive force of the universe.]” Read Colossians 1:17 (AMP). Again, we see the awesomeness and power of God on display for all to see.
“Who has measured the waters in the hollow of His hand, marked off the heavens with a [nine-inch] span, enclosed the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales and the hills in a balance?” Read Isaiah 40:12 (AMPC). This entire text refers to God’s awesome power. Can you imagine, your Father in Heaven is spoken of in these terms with absolute greatness.
One of the reasons why I think we don’t experience the full manifestation of God’s victory could possibly be because “we are not fully persuaded.” Saying the word is quite different from the application of it!!!. And the Bible says this as an encouragement to you and me, “God will fight the battle for you. And you? You keep your mouths shut!” Read Exodus 14:14 (MSG). God is a fighter, therefore, let us allow Him to fight our battles so that we can experience the full manifestation of His blessings and promises.
We are living in a war zone brothers and sisters, this is warfare; that is why we need to trust our Heavenly Father more than ever before, “The Lord is a Man of war. The Lord is His Name.”
We write. You read. Be encouraged.
