Waiting is important – Part 5

“Strength and courage are developed DURING a trial, not after it’s over. WAITING on God is essential.” Chuck Swindoll. If you want to develop strength, then you must be able to exert pressure on the object, and by so doing, your strength is developed.

• You must be a person of PERCEPTION
  • “Then Gideon perceived that he was the angel of the Lord. And Gideon said, “Alas, O Lord God! For now, I have seen the angel of the Lord face to face.” Read Judges 6:22 (ESV). Perception is seeing through the eyes of your spirit and heart. It’s like having a sixth sense vision. Whilst in WAITING, one’s perception is fully developed. Think with me for a minute, for someone who is blind, they seem to develop a superior sensory system.
  • The woman said to Him, “Sir, I perceive that you are a prophet.” Read John 4:19 (ESV). Whilst in WAITING or HOLDING pattern, how do you perceive God? Do you perceive Him as someone who is wicked and does not love you, or do you perceive Him as the God who never fails and is trustworthy? I am sure you will agree with me, perception is critically important especially in the times we live in. One can’t just go with the flow any more, you need to perceive what the Spirit of the Lord is saying or directing you to do.

Watch this, an aeroplane is held in a holding position; and it is called WAITING. This is very important for the pilot and crew to WAIT else, if they go ahead of their schedule, then the inevitable will happen, and it is called crashing. What am I trying to say here, WAITING is not only for your benefit but it is also for others.

A lot of us crash as Christians in our walk with Christ because we were either too quick to take off without WAITING for our scheduled time to be called. Now, you have another opportunity to make a course adjustment; I will encourage you to do so right away, get back in line and WAIT for your schedule to be called once again. Watch this, whilst in WAITING, God’s Word is the only beacon of light that you need and must see in those times; there is no other light more important than the light of God’s Word.

My Father, thank You. I am grateful for the insight revealed with simplicity and clarity. Thank You for granting me the patience to WAIT for you in Jesus Name.
