“The seasons change and you change, but the Lord abides evermore the same, and the streams of His love are as deep, as broad and as full as ever.” Charles Haddon Spurgeon. Oh, beloved, God’s word is the seed which is embedded right in your soul. You and I are a product of the spoken word from God. Watch this, because you are a product of the word, your whole being will be looking for ways to express itself in the truth of what God has said. This is the truth!
In the midst of the seasons of your life, who do you know? Is it your Pastor that you know? Is it your friend that you know? Is it your brother or sister that you know? Is it your prayer group that you know? Or is it God that you know? Which one is it folks? Listen to what the Bible says, “But the people who [are spiritually mature and] know their God will display strength and take action [to resist].” Read Daniel 11:32 (AMP). So this text is quite clear and instructive; whilst in the midst of your season this is what is expected:
- The people who know [spiritually mature] their God will display strength.
- The people who know their God will take action.
Listen to this, “The Lord was with Joseph, and he [even though a slave] became a successful and prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master, the Egyptian.” Read Genesis 39:2 (AMP). Joseph knew His God; he had a revelation of his God, therefore, he was comfortable, confident that God was able to give him supernatural knowledge beyond the wisdom of this world and men. So here is the point I want to show us from the text:
- The Lord was with Joseph.
- And because the Lord was with Joseph, he was successful and a prosperous man.
Beloved, here is my point, in the midst of the seasons of your life, I encourage us; “we must know our God, and get acquainted with His presence.” Daniel and Joseph knew their God and His presence. Will you be bold to know your God and acknowledge His presence at all times? I ask you to consider and admonish you to be careful who you know the most in the midsts of the seasons, and whose presence you entertain the most.
My Father, thank You for Your goodness, loving grace and mercy. You are an awesome God, and I love You for revealing Your truth to my human spirit, and I trust the root of Your word will grow deep into my soul in Jesus Name.
#The word of God is not seasonal.
