The Word of God is not seasonal – Part 4

You might have heard of this phrase, “Game Changer.” Think with me for a moment, if there is anything you want to hold on to as a lifeline in the midst of your seasons; then it will have to be Gods Word – which is the “Game Changer.” Gods word will turn the seasons of your life around in a flash. Oh, Ricky, you might say, do you know how long I have been waiting for God to respond to this or that request?

Watch this, when a seed is planted in the ground, do you see all the stages of development before the leaf begins to sprout? No. When a husband and wife get together, do you see the process of pregnancy or the baby being formed in the womb at the outset? No. Here is another contemplation for you, when Jesus spoke to the fig tree, all we saw was the effects of the wilted or dead fig tree. Look with me at the text, then He said to the tree, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again. And His disciples heard Him say it…” “In the morning, as they went along, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots. Peter remembered and said to Jesus, Rabbi, look! The fig tree you cursed has withered!” Read Mark 11:12; 20-21 (NIV).

Here are the points I like to show you:

• Jesus spoke the Word to peoples hearing.
• He was bold and fearless in His declarations.
• Jesus’s declaration was independent of the seasons, weather or environmental conditions.
• Jesus was never in doubt that His Words will accomplish the purpose for which it was sent.

This is what I am saying, we have to be seed minded in the midst of seasons. I hope you realised Jesus’s words were independent of the seasons. He declared what He wanted and He saw the results. Being seed minded is being Word minded, hence the Bible says, “The seed is God’s word.” Read Luke 8:11 (NLT). And here is my exaltation, let “your words be declared independent of seasons.” The Bible says, “You’ll decide what you want and it will happen; your life will be bathed in light.” Read Job 22:28 (MSG). God’s Word is light.

In the seasons of your life, the Word of God is working behind the scenes and you won’t see the work that is taking place. [covert operation]. At the appropriate time, you will see the outcome of your faith in God – victory. Listen to this, then Jesus said, “God’s Kingdom is like seed thrown on a field by a man who then goes to bed and forgets about it. The seed sprouts and grows—he has no idea how it happens. The earth does it all without his help: first a green stem of grass, then a bud, then the ripened grain. When the grain is fully formed, he reaps—harvest time!” Read Mark 4:26-29 (MSG).

Beloved, what the Lord is enabling me to do is “sow the word into your heart.” And in this wise, Father, thank You for Your amazing grace, and I am so eternally grateful for this extraordinary privilege to be in the Kingdom of God for such a time as this.
