The Word of God is not seasonal – Part 3

270px-Four_seasonsAs I continue to meditate on God’s Word, I have come to this one conclusion, I must be truthful when speaking to Him. What do I mean? The word study Bible calls it homologéō, also means “to say the same thing about.” To speak and say words consistent with what God has called you. In other words, we are counselled to “say the same thing as God.” And to say the same things as God requires that we must know what God said about us through His Word. Brothers and sisters, I am calling for a renewal of Bible reading and study.

Watch this, God says this about you, “And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts.” Read Malachi 3:12 (KJV). So what should be our response? I say, ‘I am blessed’ because God said so, and that should settle it. Listen to this, “For His divine power has bestowed on us [absolutely] everything necessary for [a dynamic spiritual] life and godliness, through true and personal knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.” Read 2 Peter 1:3 (AMP).

Beloved, let me remind you, God takes great delight in you. He is not disappointed in you, a million times no, hence the Bible says, Long ago the Lord said to Israel: “I have loved you, My people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love, I have drawn you to Myself.” Read Jeremiah 31:3 (NLT). Does this text sound like someone who is angry with you? Certainly not. God loves you, and He is a loving good Father.

In the seasons of your life, make sure you are speaking and calling yourself all those things the Lord has declared over you through His Word. And I say this unapologetically, to boldly ignore words spoken over you which are not consistent with who God has called you. Beloved, we live in times where words will matter more than ever before, and it is important you acquaint yourself with who you really are, else anyone will and can easily project words not consistent with the scriptures.

Lord Jesus, thank You for being a steady and stabilizing influence in my life. Thank You for loving me in spite of me. I am grateful.
