The Bible lets us know, Joshua was a man of faith who was willing to follow God’s command at any cost, confident in God’s strength and above all, was courageous in the face of opposition. And I believe, these are qualities we should exhibit. If we want to be influential people in society, then we must be a people who embrace the absolute truth and nothing but the truth. The Bible says, “…Gods word is the truth.”
“Here’s another way to put it: You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I’m putting you on a light stand. Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine!.” Read Matthew 5:16 (MSG). Beloved, we have no other option but to shine in our world; what we need to do is fan the flame, then we will “shine brighter and brighter unto a perfect day.” Hallelujah.
Falling in love with Jesus is falling in love with His word. I truly believe that Joshua was so in love with the Lord so much so that “the Lord caused his reputation to spread throughout the land.” Read Joshua 6:27 (NIV). Is this not what we all want? Yes, it is. Watch this, there is a blessing which comes with serving the Lord. Your reputation is not in what you have achieved in society but in your obedient relationship with your Heavenly Father, and He will exalt you in due time.
Heavenly Father, I declare I have victory over anything that will try to steal, kill or destroy me. My spirit is powerful and my faith is rising to receive everything God has for me in the Name of Jesus.
