Have you noticed that God’s purpose is always to add beauty to your life? I believe, God never takes from us, instead, He adds flavour and colour to our lives. On the other hand, the world or society might seek to take from you. Like what you might ask? The world might want to question your convictions about the Bible. The reality is everyone will have to come to terms with God. The Bible says this, “The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows].” Read John 10:10 (AMP). Watch this, anything that is hostile to God’s word will…WAIT FOR IT… want to steal from you, kill you or even destroy you. My intention is not to upset you; however, I am only re-echoing what the Bible is saying. Again, a thief is anything or anyone who positions themselves to be hostile to God and His word.
Are you aware, the world does not have the capacity to harm you? Really, seriously, how can you say this? We are the ones who harm ourselves by not yielding to God’s bidding. The Bible says, “I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world, you have tribulation and distress and suffering, BUT be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.]” Read John 16:33 (AMP).
Listen to what John 8:31 says, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.” Keeping up with the word will require you and me abiding (living and making God’s word a priority) in His word, therefore, our lives will become rich and well nourished. Beloved, let the word of God be the regulator of our lives. Listen to this, real life, the better life we have ever dreamed of is in God and His word.
Jesus said, “I gave them Your word; The godless world hated them because of it, Because they didn’t join the world’s ways, Just as I didn’t join the world’s ways. I’m not asking that you take them out of the world. But that You guard them from the Evil One. They are no more defined by the world than I am defined by the world. Make them holy—consecrated—with the truth; Your word is consecrating truth.” Read John 17:16-19 (MSG). The world will hate you because of God’s word and your position of faith in a dark filled world, so let us not buy what the world is selling.
This is so cool, “To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.” Ralph Waldo Emerson. Therefore, I will keep saying…#Keep up with the word, and not with some secular family programme…
