I am a Christian first – Part 6

fullsizeoutput_44To be able to take a stance as “I am a Christian first” indicates you are not standing in your own capability or strength. Watch this, if you know who is with you and in you, then a level of boldness is stirred up within. Listen to what the Bible says, Elisha said to his servant or assistant, saying, “Don’t worry about itthere are more on our side than on their side.” Read 2 Kings 6:16 (MSG). The confidence for you and me as “Christians first” is that we have the host of heaven backing us.

As a Christian first, we are anchored on something far more secure than the world can offer. No human endeavour can or will ever be enough to sustain you and me as Christians first, hence the Bible gives us this comfort, “We have this certain hope [expectation, trust, the confidence of eternal salvation] like a strong, unbreakable anchor [secure firmly] holding our souls to God Himself. Our anchor of hope is fastened to the mercy seat which sits in the heavenly realm beyond the sacred threshold.” Read Hebrews 6:19 (TPT).

Watch this, when we are anchored in God and His Word, falling off the cliff becomes not so easy because we can only but go so far before we are dragged back in place, because of His loving grace and mercy.

My Father, thank You. My life is in Your hands, and I am anchored to Your loving kindness, mercy and grace.

We write. You read. Be encouraged.
