The Church is not an accommodation centre – Part 3

The Church is not an accommodation centreJesus said, “I am the door.” John 10:9 (NKJV). The Church is the “pillar and foundation of truth.” Read 1 Timothy 3:15. Listen to this, Jesus said, I am the [only] Way [to God] and the [real] Truth and the[real] Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” Read John 14:6 (AMP). Jesus is speaking about the Body of Christ as the only institution to God. The role of the Church is massive, it does not preach convenience, a million times no. Oh, hear my heart on this, the Church does not preach tolerance or acceptability, she preaches accountability, discipline and judgement. Yes, “For God so loved the world…” but, He is also a God of justice, and we seem to forget that.

Watch this, until the Church speaks up, all the violence and chaos we see in our society today will only increase; why? Because they have left God out of the equation! Listen to this, In the book, “The World Turned Upside Down“, the basic cause of this explosion of human irrationality is the slow but steady marginalisation of religion. We tell ourselves that faith and reason are incompatible, but the opposite is the case. It was Christianity and the Hebrew Bible, Phillips asserts, that gave us our concepts of reason, progress, and an orderly world on which science and modernity are based. Without its religious traditions, the West has drifted into mass derangement where truth and lies, right and wrong, victim and aggressor are all turned upside down.” Melanie Phillips.

The Church is the spiritual compass of a nation, therefore, its outlook should be outward focused. The Church was never designed to be inward-looking and the entire essence of Churches in our communities is to be the salt and light, hence the Bible says, “So don’t hide your lightLet it shine brightly before others so that the commendable things you do will shine as light upon them, and then they will give their praise to your Father in heaven.” Read Matthew 5:16 (TPT). Can you see this beloved? The Church has a very visible and important role to play in repairing the destroyed fabric of society.

My Father, my Father, my Father, thank You for the institution of the Church which You established. Lord, I put You in remembrance of Your Word which says, “I will build My ChurchMy legislative assemblyand the power of death will not be able to overpower…” Read Matthew 16:18b (TPT). The Church of the living God is a Triumphant Church. Therefore, we triumph in all things, because the Bible says so. Hallelujah.

We write. You read. Be encouraged.
