The Church is not an accommodation centre – Part 4

The Church is not an accommodation centre“Although the church accomplishes many tasks, its only message to the world is the gospel of Christ. Everything else we do is merely an extension of that primary goal. The gospel we offer the lost is superior to every worldly philosophy. Never outdated or in need of correction, it is always sufficient to meet humanity’s greatest need: reconciliation with the Creator.” Charles Stanley.

The Church is not an outdated institution because God never ever changes, hence, the Bible says, “Jesus Christ is [eternally changeless, always] the same yesterday and today and forever.” Read Hebrews 13:8 (AMP). Think with me for a moment, the Church as an institution does not change with the time, absolutely not. The Church and its teaching remains constant. Now, when I say the Church remains constant, I am referring to Biblical principles which have been tried and tested over Centuries and found to be reliable and trustworthy.

Please, hear my heart on this matter, the Church is a centre of hope to those who are discouraged, empty, disillusioned and lost, however, the Church will not lower its Biblical standards to pander to anyone, group or government. The Bible calls the Church “The River of Healing.” Read Ezekiel 47:1-12 (NLT). Healing from what? From dryness, unproductivity and stagnation. Listen to this, whatever you want the Church to be for you, then it will be!

The Church is a beacon [a lighthouse or other signal for guidance]. If you think for a moment, beacons are a “strong light that can be seen from far away and that is used to help guide ships, airplanes, etc.”

My Father, thank You for who You are, the God of Love, justice and extravagant grace. You alone are worthy to be praised. I cry out, Holy, Holy Holy is the Name God almighty.

We write. You read. Be encouraged.
