Praise Ye the Lord – Part 7

Praise Ye the LordI recently had this thought as I began to meditate on God’s Word that your testimony is your praise and worship to God. When you testify, you are expressing gratitude to God. The Bible says, “Go home to your family, and tell them everything the Lord has done for you and how merciful He has been.” Read Mark 5:19. Why is my testimony so important one might ask?

Recall the story of the woman who had a hemorrhage for twelve years and had endured much suffering at the hands of many physicians…immediately her flow of blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of her suffering. Immediately Jesus, recognizing in Himself that power had gone out from Him, turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched My clothes?”…”Who touched Me?” …And the woman, though she was afraid and trembling, aware of what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth.” Read Matthew 5:24-34.

Here we see clearly Jesus insisting on finding out who touched His clothes, and eventually, the lady stood and testified to a large crowd. I am sure her testimony would have encouraged the hearers, even Jesus, including myself, reading this text! Her testimony will advance the gospel; hence the Bible says, “Now, I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that what has happened to me has actually served to advance the gospel.” Read Philippians 1:12. Paul testified that the experiences he faced opened the doors for the gospel to be preached.

“I will praise You to all my brothers; I will stand up before the congregation and testify of the wonderful things You have done.” Read Psalm 22:22. Beloved, your testimony is your praise, therefore, don’t stop testifying of the goodness of the Lord, in the land of the living. Guess what, when someone is dead, they can no longer testify, but as long as you have breath in you, always seek to testify of God’s hand and favor upon you.

My Father, there is breath in me, and I testify of Your goodness, mercy, and grace. Oh, how I love You, Your name and Your Word. Praise Ye the Lord.

We write. You read. Be encouraged.
