Build according to God’s Pattern – Part 1

When you look through history, you will find that God has always given clear and precise instructions. For example, Noah was told how to build a large boat[Genesis 6:14-16; 19-22]. Abram was given clear directives to leave his native country[Genesis 12:1]. Watch this, every instruction God gives is directly in line up with the Scriptures. God’s pattern for you will not be given outside His Word! In other words, God’s pattern is consistent with what His word reveals.!

When you want to build a building, you ask the architect to come up with a design based on his or her understanding of your concept, and once that is completed, the builders or developers will build according to architectural design. Now, see what our heavenly Father said to Moses when He gave Him the instructions on the mountain, “You are to construct it following the plans I’ve given you, the design for The Dwelling and the design for all its furnishings. “…Be sure that you make everything according to the pattern I have shown you here on the mountain.” Read Exodus 25:9, 40 (NLT). Watch this, the instruction from God on the mountain was so detailed such that there was no room for misinterpretation.

Brothers and sisters, when God gives us His instructions, He expects you and me to build according to His pattern. And God is so clear such that there will be no ambiguity. Ambiguity comes when we contemplate and over analyze what God said or when we intellectualize. The Bible says, “For we walk by faith, not by sight [living our lives in a manner consistent with our confident belief in God’s promises].” 2 Corinthians 5:7 (AMP). Watch this, we have to see God’s instructions with the eyes of faith and to listen with the ears of our spirit and heart.

My Father in heaven, thank You for showing me the pattern for my life and family. Thank You for giving me the grace to build with the materials [according to Galatians 5:22]  in Christ Name.
