As I continue to meditate on our theme text “Trust in the Lord completely…” I am constantly reminded that as the people of God, we are presented with two choices – Trust God or Doubt God. Guess what, many of us will never say we do not trust God, but our actions will betray and reflect where our allegiances lie. Now, I say this with no joy in my heart, God is not pleased when we doubt Him. Scripture says, “So Sarah laughed to herself [when she heard the Lord’s words], saying, “After I have become old, shall I have pleasure and delight, my lord (husband) being also old?” Read Genesis 18:12 (AMP).
Let us examine this text together, “Sarah laughed [mocked] when she heard the Lord’s word.” Hey, what word have you heard from the Lord, and you have scorned and doubted or even mocked at God’s ability to bring to pass what He said? Again, we might not say it out with our mouth’s, but our hearts and actions reveal our true intent. As I alluded to previously, it is either we trust God or we don’t. There are no middle grounds folks!
Watch this beloved, Is there a golden calf before us or in our lives? [Before we respond, let us pause and calmly think]. Is there something else that we are worshipping? Because worshipping anything else other than God is a golden calf! Selah. Well, you might be challenging me in saying, Ricky, I know I trust God. I am not doubting you, however, look at what the Bible says, “…He knew them inside and out, knew how untrustworthy they were. He didn’t need any help in seeing right through them.” Read John 2:24-25 (MSG).
Beloved, God sees and God knows, hence the Bible says, “There is not one person who can hide their thoughts from God, for nothing that we do remains a secret, and nothing created is concealed, but everything is exposed and defenceless before His eyes, to whom we must render an account.” Read Hebrews 4:13 (TPT).
“Trust and obey, for there is no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.” My Father thank You for the grace and strength to stand strong on Your word. Thank You, Your word will feed anyone who will commit to studying it in Christ Name.

Absolutely true. And that is why every living moment is for us to be aware that “nothing can be hidden from Him, to whom we must give account.”
