God has put His weight behind His Word! Which means God is committed to bringing every spoken word to pass. Hence, the Bible says, “Blessed be God, who has given peace to His people Israel just as He said He’d do. Not one of all those good and wonderful words that He spoke through Moses has misfired.” Read 1 Kings 8:56a (MSG). Hey, this is a massive statement; God has put a target on your back! And His Word is like a missile locked onto its target.
So why is it that we must trust in the Lord completely and the Bible? Let us remember, Jesus is the Word which became flesh and dwelt amongst us. The Scripture in Psalm 19 (AMP) will enlighten the eyes of our understanding and lay the truth before us to see and embrace.
- “The law of the Lord is perfect (flawless), restoring and refreshing the soul; The statutes of the Lord are reliable and trustworthy, making wise the simple.” Read Psalm 19:7 (AMP). When we talk about the law, we refer to the Word of God and immediately what comes after is perfect, restoring and refreshing the soul, reliable and trustworthy. Trusting in the Lord completely and His Word will bring restoration and transformation to one’s life, including nourishing the soul. As for me, I need my soul to be nourished every day, hence inquiring of the Lord daily – Rhema is important, hence, “…but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Read Romans 12:2b
- “The precepts of the Lord are right, bringing joy to the heart; The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.” Read Psalm 19:8 (AMP). Recall the Bible says, “The joy of the Lord is our strength.” Watch this, the one who trusts in the Lord completely and His Word will be strengthened and be joyful in the midst of the storm. Trusting in the Lord completely and leaning totally on His Word gives direction, hence the Bible says, “Thy Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Read Psalm 119:105.
Brothers and sisters, God never misfires, His Word is flawless, reliable and trustworthy. My Father in heaven, thank You for giving us clarity in Your Word as we constantly inquire of You. Thank You for bringing all things to my remembrance in Christ Name.
We write. You read. Be encouraged.
