“Do not be afraid! Take your stand [be firm and confident and undismayed] and see the salvation of the Lord which He will accomplish for you today; for those Egyptians whom you have seen today, you will never see again.” Read Exodus 14:13 (AMP). The Bible also says, “Anyone who separates from me is deadwood, gathered up and thrown on the bonfire. But if you make yourselves at home with Me and My Words are at home in you, you can be sure that whatever you ask will be listened to and acted upon.” Read John 15:5-8 (MSG). Beloved, this verse counsels you and me to “Trust in the Lord and His Word completely.”
So we begin again to see why trusting in the Lord completely and His Word is so vital.
- “The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the Lord are true, they are righteous altogether.” Read Psalm 19:9 (MSG). God’s Word is the truth and the whole truth, so help me God. John 17:17 (NIV) says, “Sanctify them by the truth; Your Word is truth.” The person who trusts in the Lord and His Word completely will be kept safe and secure. It is a blessing for the one who will trust in the Lord and His Word completely; this person – trusting one, will always find delight in the Lord. Listen to this, the one who trusts in the Lord completely and His Word will be fruitful in and out of season.
- “They are more desirable than gold, yes than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and the drippings of the honeycomb.” Read Psalm 19:10 (MSG). God’s Word is referred to as a treasure. The Bible says, “But we have this treasure [a storehouse for precious things] in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.” Read 2 Corinthians 4:7 (KJV). God’s Word has a rich deposit, and it will do us well to trust it completely if we want to access the riches or goodies in the storehouse thereof. Watch this, TRUSTING IN THE LORD AND HIS WORD COMPLETELY = ACCESS TO THE STOREHOUSE. And if you can’t trust in the Lord completely, then access to the treasures in the storehouse is far fetched.
Lord, Jesus, help me to be firmly planted and rooted in Your Word. Counsel comes from Your mouth, and I seek wisdom from You and my ears are inclined to hearing every Word You speak in Christ Name.
We write. You read. Be encouraged.
