“Sir, my concern is not whether God is on our side; my greatest concern is to be on God’s side, for God is always right.” Abraham Lincoln. Quite an interesting quote from Mr Lincoln, won’t you agree? There is only one side and that is “God’s side, and He is always right.” Read Psalm 7:11 (TPT). God always wins, and let me remind you, He has never lost a battle and I don’t think He is willing to start now with you or me.
Watch this, I found something interesting in the Biik of Jeremiah which says, “Before I shaped you in the womb, I knew all about you. Before you saw the light of day, I had holy plans for you: A prophet to the nations—that’s what I had in mind for you.” Read Jeremiah 1:5 (MSG). Beloved, this Scripture right here is the kicker! In other words, you and I were always in God’s plan and has never been an after thought. Oh, beloved, you are special, and you better believe it because God made it so; I am only re-echoing and re-affirming His Word. God loves me, this I know.
Listen to this, your 20/20 God-driven resolution will set you and me on a path that will confront and challenge the status quo. See what the Bible says, “But I said, “Hold it, Master God! Look at me. I don’t know anything. I’m only a boy!” God told me, “Don’t say, ‘I’m only a boy.’ I’ll tell you where to go and you’ll go there. I’ll tell you what to say and you’ll say it. Don’t be afraid of a soul. I’ll be right there, looking after you.” God’s Decree.” Read Jeremiah 1:6 (MSG).
Therefore, with confidence, I can and will say, no one born into this earth is ever a mistake. Why? Because God pre-ordained your birth. And quite frankly this is why I will go on to say “our daily resolution” ought to be based on this Scripture, “Make a careful exploration of who you are and the work you have been given, and then sink yourself into that. Don’t be impressed with yourself. Don’t compare yourself with others. Each of you must take responsibility for doing the creative best you can with your own life.” Read Galatians 6:4-5 (MSG).
I am always fascinated by the Scriptures when I read a text like Galatians 6:4-5 because God has made it so clear, and there is no room for ambiguity or misunderstanding His plans. Now then, back to how we should embrace Biblical perspectives to ensure our resolutions are aligned with God’s plan and purpose for our lives and homes.
- Standing firm and be immovable:
- “So now, beloved ones, stand firm, stable, and enduring. Live your life with an unshakable confidence. We know that we prosper and excel in every season by serving the Lord because we are assured that our union with the Lord makes our labour productive with fruit that endures.” Read 1 Corinthians 15:58 (TPT). As I alluded to previously, the Prophet Jeremiah had to stand firm in the midst of pressure, even when he did not see any outcome to anything he said. His confidence was in “The Word of God which came to him.” Watch this, God’s Word is solid! And when we stand on that solid Word from God, then, nothing will be impossible for you and me to accomplish in this life.
Lord, Jesus, thank You. You are good and Your mercy, they endure forevermore. My Lord and Saviour, there is no one like You. You reign all over the earth. You speak and it comes to pass, and You open, no one can shut.
We write. You read. Be encouraged.
