In addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
Ephesians 6:16-17 (NASB)
1. Taking up the shield of faith: What then is faith? “It is a spiritual force drawing from the living word to produce living proofs.” Watch this, above all the other armor, take up the “Shield of faith,” with which “We will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Beloved, without our shield of faith, one becomes a casualty in battle. As I alluded to previously, we are dealing with an enemy who is well organized and can easily distract any child of God who does not have their shield on. Listen here beloved, our shield of faith acts as an intercept to stop all fiery darts [like flame throwers with combustibles ignited on the head of the shaft, so as to set fire]. Therefore, imagine the pressure applied by the wicked one on the mind of any believer whose shield is missing? The impact will be devastating and can even lead to death or decapitation.
2. Take the helmet of salvation: “The helmet was a cap made of thick leather, or brass, fitted to the head, and was usually crowned with a plume, or crest, as an ornament. Its use was to guard the head from a blow by a sword, or war-club, or battle-axe. Watch this, our hope as believers in Christ is that our Salvation is secure and “And I give them eternal life, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand.” Read John 10:28 (NASB). Listen to this, “This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and reliable and one which enters within the veil.” Read Hebrews 6:19 (NASB).
3. Take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Watch this, the word is both an offensive and a defensive tool. Listen to this, “For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” Read Hebrews 4:12 (NASB). Beloved, in any battle that we will ever face in this life as believers, the Bible says, “For yourself, concentrate on winning God’s approval, on being a workman with nothing to be ashamed of, and who knows how to use the word of truth to the best advantage” Read 2 Timothy 2:15 (NASB). Beloved, in the times of spiritual warfare, God’s word must be treasured, hence, “They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the honeycomb.” Read Psalm 19:10 (NIV).
My Father in heaven, I acknowledge Your grace and receive Your mercy today. Your word says, “Thy word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Therefore, I declare Your Rhema word is my guide for holy and righteous living in Christ Name.

En plus de tous, en prenant le bouclier de la foi avec la quelle vous serez en mesurez’ éteindre toutes les flèches enflammées du mal. Et prenez le casque du salut et l’épée de l’Esprit, qui est la parole de Dieu.
Éphésiens 6:16-17 (NASB)
- Prendre le bouclier de la foi: Qu’est-ce donc que la foi? “C’est une force spirituelle qui puise dans la parole vivante pour produire des preuves vivantes.” Regardez cela, surtout l’autre armure, prendre le “Bouclier de la foi”, avec lequel “Nous serons en mesure d’éteindre toutes les flèches enflammées du mal. Bien-aimé, sans notre bouclier de foi, on devient une victime dans la bataille. Comme je l’ai mentionné précédemment, nous avons affaire à un ennemi qui est bien organisé et qui peut facilement distraire n’importe quel enfant de Dieu qui n’a pas son bouclier. Écoutez ici bien-aimé, notre bouclier de foi agit comme une interception pour arrêter toutes les fléchettes enflammées [comme des lance-flammes avec des combustibles enflammés sur la tête de l’arbre, afin de mettre le feu]. Par conséquent, imaginez la pression exercée par le méchant sur l’esprit de tout croyant dont le bouclier est manquant? L’impact sera dévastateur et peut même conduire à la mort et à la décapitation.
- Prenez le casque du salut: “Le casque était un chapeau en cuir épais, ou laiton, monté sur la tête, et était habituellement couronné d’un panache, ou crête, comme ornement. Son utilisation était de garder la tête d’un coup par une épée, ou un club de guerre, ou hache de guerre. Regardez cela, notre espérance en tant que croyants en Christ est que notre Salut est sûr et “Et je leur donne la vie éternelle, et ils ne périront jamais; et personne ne les arrachera de ma main. Lire Jean 10:28 (NASB). Écoutez ceci: “Cet espoir que nous avons comme un ancrage de l’âme, un espoir à la fois sûr et fiable et celui qui entre dans le voile.” Lire Hébreux 6:19 (NASB).
- Prenez l’épée de l’Esprit, qui est la parole de Dieu: Regardez ceci, le mot est à la fois un outil offensif et un outil défensif. Écoutez ceci, “Car la parole de Dieu est vivante et active et plus nette que n’importe quelle épée à deux tranchants, et perçante jusqu’à la division de l’âme et de l’esprit, désarticulations et de la moelle, et capable de juger les pensées et les intentions du cœur.” Lire Hébreux 4:12 (NASB). Bien-aimée, dans toute bataille que nous aurons jamais face dans cette vie en tant que croyants, la Bible dit: “Pour vous-même se concentrer sur la victoire de l’approbation de Dieu, sur être un ouvrier avec rien à avoir honte, et qui sait comment utiliser la parole de vérité au meilleur avantage” Lire 2 Timothée 2:15 (NASB). Bien-aimée, à l’époque de la guerre spirituelle, la parole de Dieu doit être précieuse, par conséquent, “Thé sont plus précieux que l’or, que beaucoup d’or pur; ils sont plus doux que le miel, que le miel du nid d’abeilles. Lire Psaume 19:10 (NIV).
Mon Père céleste, je reconnais Ta grâce et je reçois Ta miséricorde aujourd’hui. Ta parole dit: “Ta parole est une lampe à mes pieds et une lumière sur mon chemin.” Par conséquent, je déclare Votre Parole de Rhema est mon guide pour la vie sainte et juste au Nom du Christ.
