Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel. Whenever you hear a word from my mouth, you shall give them warning from Me. If I say to the wicked, ‘You shall surely die,’ and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, in order to save his life, that wicked person shall die for his iniquity, but his blood I will require at your hand. But if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, or from his wicked way, he shall die for his iniquity, but you will have delivered your soul.

The first assignment and business of the preacher is, to tell the truth. And here is one truth to start with, Pay “Attention! Let all the people of the world listen. Let the earth and everything in it hear. The Sovereign Lord is making accusations against you; the Lord speaks from His holy Temple. Look! the Lord is coming!” Read Micah 1:1-3. Watch this, before a Tsunami happens, alarm-blaring sounds are heard across the land. Before the Titanic sank, the warning signal was let off to warn and notify the people onboard. When people heard the alarm, they took the necessary actions and steps. If someone comes to you and says, they have an accusation against you, I am sure you will want to know what the accusation is, and make things right. Is that not so? In like manner, God’s alarm is sounding, and the intensity increasing daily. What are we going to do, ignore it, act on it immediately, or drag our feet, pondering to see whether it is real or not?
Beloved, how are we going to respond to the blaring alarm coming from God’s word? Listen here, if one’s car engine warning light comes up on the dashboard, a follow-up message from the manual says something like this, “Stop and check it immediately or proceed with caution.” Will we ignore the warning light? If we do, we know it can cause lasting damage to the car. But I hope we will immediately respond to the warning light and do everything necessary to fix the fault. What I find interesting is, when the problem is fixed, the warning light automatically disappears.
Now, let us go back to Micah. And why is this happening? “Because of the rebellion of Israel – yes, the sins of the whole nation.” Beloved, we are receiving the same warning Micah gave to Judah, the Southern kingdom. Pay Attention! Let us go deeper; when you visit your doctor and are given a medical prognosis, will you ignore it and carry on like nothing was said? Or will you do exactly as the doctor says? I am sure you will quickly get the prescription and rush immediately to the dispensary or pharmacy to pick up your medicine. Is it not? In like manner, beloved, the Bible says, “And since Christ is so much superior, the Holy Spirit warns us to listen to Him, to be careful to hear His voice today and not let our hearts become set against Him, as the people of Israel did.” Read Hebrews 3:7-8 (TLB). A heart set against God is doomed for destruction. Oh, you say this cannot be. Really? Listen to God’s word, “But because of your stubbornness and unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath for yourself in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God.” Read Romans 2:5 (LSB).
Father in heaven, I am grateful to You for Your loving grace and mercy. Thank You because of the Blood of the Lamb, which was slain for my sake. I am exceedingly thankful for I am a daily recipient of Your loving kindness and the gift of the Salvation of my soul.

Si je dis aux méchants: “Tu mourras sûrement,” et que tu ne lui donnes aucun avertissement, ni ne parle pour avertir le méchant de sa voie méchante, afin de sauver sa vie, ce méchant mourra pour son iniquité, mais j’aurai besoin de son sang de ta main. Mais si vous avertissez le méchant, et qu’il ne se détourne pas de sa méchanceté, ou de sa voie méchante, il mourra pour son iniquité, mais vous aurez délivré votre âme.

La première tâche et la première tâche du prédicateur est de dire la vérité. Et voici une vérité pour commencer, Rendez-vous “Attention“! Que tous les peuples du monde écoutent. Que la terre et tout ce qu’elle contient entendent. Le Souverain Seigneur porte des accusations contre vous; le Seigneur parle de son saint temple. Regardez! le Seigneur vient!” Lire Michée 1:1-3. Regardez ceci, avant qu’un tsunami ne se produise, des sons d’alarme se font entendre à travers le pays. Avant le naufrage du Titanic, le signal d’avertissement a été déclenché pour avertir et informer les personnes à bord. Lorsque les gens ont entendu l’alarme, ils ont pris les mesures nécessaires. Si quelqu’un vient vous voir et vous dit qu’il a une accusation contre vous, je suis sûr que vous voudrez savoir quelle est l’accusation et rectifier les choses. N’est-ce pas? De la même manière, l’alarme de Dieu retentit et l’intensité augmente chaque jour. Qu’allons-nous faire, l’ignorer, agir immédiatement, ou traîner les pieds, en réfléchissant pour voir si c’est réel ou non?
Bien-aimés, comment allons-nous répondre à l’alarme retentissante venant de la parole de Dieu? Écoutez ici, si le voyant d’avertissement du moteur d’une voiture s’affiche sur le tableau de bord, un message de suivi du manuel dit quelque chose comme ceci: “Arrêtez-le et vérifiez-le immédiatement ou procédez avec prudence.” Allons-nous ignorer le voyant d’avertissement? Si nous le faisons, nous savons que cela peut causer des dommages durables à la voiture. Mais j’espère que nous répondrons immédiatement au voyant d’avertissement et ferons tout le nécessaire pour réparer la panne. Ce que je trouve intéressant, c’est que lorsque le problème est résolu, le voyant disparaît automatiquement.
Maintenant, revenons à Michée. Et pourquoi cela se produit-il? “À cause de la rébellion d’Israël – oui, les péchés de toute la nation.” Bien-aimés, nous recevons le même avertissement que Michée a donné à Juda, le royaume du Sud. Faites attention! Allons plus loin; Lorsque vous consultez votre médecin et qu’on vous donne un pronostic médical, allez-vous l’ignorer et continuer comme si rien n’avait été dit? Ou ferez-vous exactement ce que dit le médecin? Je suis sûr que vous obtiendrez rapidement l’ordonnance et vous vous précipiterez immédiatement au dispensaire ou à la pharmacie pour récupérer vos médicaments. N’est-ce pas? De la même manière, bien-aimés, la Bible dit: “Et puisque Christ est tellement supérieur, le Saint-Esprit nous avertit de l’écouter, de prendre soin d’entendre sa voix aujourd’hui et de ne pas laisser nos cœurs se dresser contre lui, comme le peuple d’Israël l’a fait.” Lire Hébreux 3:7-8 (TLB). Un cœur opposé à Dieu est voué à la destruction. Oh, vous dites que cela ne peut pas être. Vraiment? Écoutez la parole de Dieu: “Mais à cause de ton entêtement et de ton cœur impénitent, tu accumules de la colère pour toi-même au jour de la colère et de la révélation du juste jugement de Dieu.” Lire Romains 2:5 (LSB).
Père céleste, je te suis reconnaissant pour ta grâce aimante et ta miséricorde. Merci à cause du Sang de l’Agneau, qui a été immolé pour moi. Je suis extrêmement reconnaissant car je suis un bénéficiaire quotidien de Ta bonté aimante et du don du Salut de mon âme.
