God has given us free will, however, our free will [your power to choose] is not meant to be used to sin against God, and this was what the people of Israel did in demanding a “king to judge over them like other nations.” The people of Israel expressed their free will which became their downfall because they chose not to “inquire from the Lord.” Beloved, are we expressing our free will without consulting the Lord?
