Reading the creation story from the book of Genesis, I am fascinated to know we are privileged to be able to operate in the realm of the physical and the Spiritual world. And the main connector or the bridge and the currency used to transact between both worlds is the spoken word of God. Recall the scripture saying in Genesis 1:1 (AMP) “In the beginning God (Elohim) created [by forming from nothing] the heavens and the earth.” Psalm 103:20 (TLB) says “Bless the Lord, you mighty angels of His who carry out His orders, listening for each of His commands.” In other words, when you speak the spoken word, you give voice and generate a resonance that the Angels are accustomed to sending sound codes which they only can hack into.
There was a Roman Centurion who loved his servant to such an extent that he was willing to locate Jesus after hearing about the miracles He did. Buoyed by the thought of getting Jesus to come to his house to minister healing to his servant must have been an historical moment, and on the way to heal the servant, the Centurion made an audacious statement saying “…Lord, don’t trouble yourself, for I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. That is why I did not even consider myself worthy to come to you. BUT say the word and my servant will be healed.” Read Luke 7:6b-7. The Centurion exalted the spoken word above the issue. Likewise, whatever might be an irritation to you, decide to elevate the spoken word above all else, and remember 2 Corinthians 4:18 (CEV) saying “Things that are seen don’t last forever, but things that are not seen are eternal. That’s why we keep our minds on the things that cannot be seen,” So the troubles you see today are temporal, but Gods spoken word is eternal, it lasts forever, Glory to God.
Let us look at another truth from the bible, Caleb and Joshua of the twelve elders who were sent in to carry out due diligence on the land of Canaan, came back with a good report saying “Caleb silenced the people who were complaining against Moses, and said, We should attack now and take the land; we are strong enough to conquer it.” Read Numbers 13:30 (GNT). The spoken word we speak out publicly in the midst of a hard time can stir up fear , doubt and unbelief, or set-off jubilation in the camp, the choice is yours to speak ONLY the spoken word.
Therefore, “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful, therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward.” Read Hebrews 10:23, 35 (NASB). Oppositions will come to challenge the spoken word, but be steadfast and immovable the bible says.
