The basis for my belief: the Resurrection – Part 4

The resurrection is the single most important event and pillar upon which the Christian faith is built. Let me ask you this question, of all the other religions, have you heard where their God rose on the 3rd or any other day?

The Bible says it so beautifully “He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said [He would]. Come! See the place where He was lying.” Read Matthew 28:6 (AMP). Look at this “And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they went in they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.” Read Luke 24:2-3 (AMP). Now, this verse of scripture reveals two important truths: He rose, and He left us with unrefutable proof – Come! See the place.

I am quite sure Jesus knew the controversy His resurrection would attract, hence the unrefutable and credible evidence. Different faiths and religions or agnostics might question the theological narrative of the resurrection, it still does not take away from the truth that Jesus was crucified on the cross, buried and rose again on the third day. Jesus said to her, “I am the RESURRECTION and the life.” Read John 11:25 (AMP). This is an absolutely profound statement, don’t you think so? Someone who makes a comment like this must have the power to back their words.

Jesus said, “I am the [only] Way [to God] and the [real] Truth and the[real] Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” Read John 14:6 (AMP). Again, here is an outstanding statement from Jesus. Who gets to speak this way, if they don’t have the power to bring to pass what they said? I know Jesus can!!!

Jesus’s resurrection is an unshakable truth.
