Intellectualism is and cannot transform the world, it is only the Word of God that will transform the world through people who are fervent and hungry and thirst after righteousness. Listen to this, “And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].” Read Romans 12:2 (AMP). Watch this, transformation comes when we allow the Holy Spirit helps in the “renewal of our minds.” Read Ephesians 4:23 (NLT).
I am interested in these 2 words, Conform and Transform. And according to the complete Word study dictionary (1993), conform refers to mirroring or copying. Whilst transform refers to a changing of ones outward form – metamorphosis. So when we bring both word definitions together, we can say it like this, ‘do not allow yourself to embrace the dictates of this world instead embrace a change from within or inwards which will be evident on the outward. Thinking of metamorphosis and instantly remember the process of the butterfly metamorphosis from one stage to the other; and have you noticed at the end, it turns out to be a beautiful colourful species. And in like manner, we are changed from one level of glory to another.
Transformation will only occur when there is submission to God. Transformation does not come from submitting to any beliefs or ideology, a million times no. Transformed minds turn the world upside down, they are not moved by sentiments or popularity, but by commission and vision for God’s purpose to be established in the earth. Listen to this, “These men who have turned the world upside down have come here too…” Read Acts 17:6 (AMP). These men who came and turned the world upside down were radically first transformed then reasoned with people from the scriptures. In other words, the basis for transformation is etched in the scriptures.
It is widely known that we are living through a millenarian age especially in the West. Millenarianism is “belief in a coming ideal society and especially one created by a revolutionary action.” I totally agree that a revolution is needed, but a revolution of the mind with the wrong information deleted and replaced and infused with God’s Word.
Subsequent posts will reveal how the Word of God can transform us if we allow it and are active participants.
We write. You read. Be encouraged.
Praise the Lord for this. I know where transformation comes from.
Blessings upon blessings upon you in Jesus Name.

Thanks Mrs Adewoye. Absolutely true the Holy Spirit living in us will play a critical role. Afterall, the our connection between God, His Word and Promises is through the gift of the Holy Spirit; with which we have access through Faith in God.
