God’s Word Prevails – Part 5

fullsizeoutput_3bThe Lord of hosts has sworn [an oath], saying, “Just as I have intended, so it has certainly happened, and just as I have planned, so it will stand.” Read Isaiah 14:24 (AMP). Here is another scriptural text, “We, humans, keep brainstorming options and plans, but God’s purpose prevails.” Read Proverbs 19:21 (MSG). Listen to this, “The Lord has established His throne in heaven, and His kingdom rules over all.” Read Psalm 103:19 (HCSB). His Kingdom is His authority, His rule and His sovereignty. Ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sister, I shared these 3 scriptures to respond to the question I asked in part 4 which was, Does the Word of God prevail in all things? Simply, YES.

For us to gain perspective on some of the reason God’s Word prevails; let us first look at one of the reasons why Jesus came. See what the Bible says, “The reason the Son of God was made manifest (visible) was to undo (destroy, loosen, and dissolve) the works the devil [has done].” Read 1 John 3:8 (AMPC). Here, we can see one foundational truth; ‘the works of the devil has already been destroyed.’ The works of the devil, being anything that has or will be hostile to God’s promises concerning you. The Bible says, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.” Read John 10:10 (NKJV). Watch this beloved, whatever is stealing from you, killing and destroying is an enemy to your soul.

Now, on the basis of the above statement, we can comfortably say some of the following:

  • Calling / Salvation: The Lord said to me, I knew you before you were formed within your mother’s womb; before you were born I sanctified you and appointed you as my spokesman to the world.” Read Jeremiah 1:4-5 (TLB). Before the foundations of the earth, God had already marked you for His Salvation.
  • Healing: “By the power of His own Word, He healed you and saved you from destruction.” Read Psalm 107:20 (CEV). So God’s Word is prevailing over all forms of sickness; this is what God has said, and it is like He said it. Therefore, your healing is secured.
  • Provision: “You can be sure that God will take care of everything you need, His generosity exceeding even yours in the glory that pours from Jesus. Our God and Father abound in glory that just pours out into eternity. Yes.” Read Philippians 4:19 (MSG). Here, we see God’s Word prevailing over every need you will ever have. Quite frankly, we don’t have any need, what we generally lack is understanding, but God has made provisions for all our needs. Hallelujah.

The Word of God prevails, and as I alluded to; God’s Word prevails over every and all things. Therefore, what I will encourage you to do is search the scriptures for all of God’s promises concerning any matter, then declare God’s Word and watch the Word work in and on your behalf. Hence the Bible says, “He has caused you to lift up your hands in triumphant victory over the devil, and all your foes are destroyed.”

We write. You read. Be encouraged.
