“Out of 100 men, one will read the Bible, the other 99 will read the Christian.”Dwight L. Moody. Think with me for a moment, your life is the book people will read. There are some who might not engage a physical Church building; all they see is our life, and the content of our lives will be an open book for all to see; with the hope that they will be impressed with what comes out of one’s life.
Listen to this quote, “The Bible was not given for our information, but for our transformation.”Dwight L. Moody. Simply put, the content of your life will improve if you pick up the word of God, study and apply it, it will transform every sphere of your life, it is the absolute and whole truth, so help me God.
- Study your Bible.
- “Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path.” Read Psalm 119:105 (JPS). Watch this, light comes, and we are illuminated when we study God’s word. There is no illumination without God’s word. As a believer in Christ, where and how do you get the information to char the course of your life? Do you employ something I call kalo kalo [gambling] or you go to the source of all wisdom to get insight for the way ahead? After all the Bible says, “But of Him are you in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and justice and sanctification and redemption.” Read 1 Corinthians 1:30 (DARBY). Watch this, wisdom is a person called Jesus and He lives in you; Oh, this is big. Can you imagine this? The embodiment of wisdom is available to you 24 hours of the day, 365 days in a year.
- “Study and do your best to present yourself to God approved, a workman [tested by trial] who has no reason to be ashamed, accurately handling and skillfully teaching the word of truth.” Read 2 Timothy 2:15 (AMP).
The word of God is the pillar and foundation of all truth. It is the only Book that has the answers to the world’s problem; if only the world knew, and that is the reason why we must preach the Gospel of grace to the whole world.
