“Celebrate God all day, every day. I mean, revel in him! Make it as clear as you can to all you meet that you’re on their side, working with them and not against them. Help them see that the Master is about to arrive. He could show up any minute!.” Read Philippians 4:4-8 (MSG). As the people of God, we are not permitted to endure life, instead, we are to CELEBRATE life. And CELEBRATING life starts from knowing the reason why we CELEBRATE, and Christ is the reason for our CELEBRATION.
The word CELEBRATE in the Greek comes from a root word – “to laugh” “to dance” and “to shout” “worship and praise.” The scripture is clear when it says, “Shout your praises to God, everybody! Let loose and sing! Strike up the band!” Read Psalm 98:4 (MSG). Listen to this, “Then our mouth was filled with laughter. And our tongue with joyful shouting; then they said among the nations, the Lord has done great things for them.” Read Psalm 126:2 (AMP). Have you noticed, laughter is something ingrained, it is not superficial, hence this quote is appropriate, “The Christian is not superficial in any sense, but is fundamentally serious and fundamentally happy. You see, the joy of the Christian is a holy joy; the happiness of the Christian is a serious happiness. … it is a solemn joy, it is a holy joy, it is a serious happiness; so that, though he is grave and sober-minded and serious, he is never cold and prohibitive.” Martyn Lloyd-Jones.
Laughter is not the absence of challenges or pain, it is a state of being. “All the days of the desponding and afflicted are made evil [by anxious thoughts and forebodings], but he who has a glad heart has a continual feast [regardless of circumstances].” Read Proverbs 15:15 (AMP).
Watch this, how can you CELEBRATE if you don’t know the Word? Have you not heard, the Word is Christ? Ladies and gentlemen, we have a charge to keep and a God to glorify; and in the final analysis, God’s Word will and must be glorified and without a shadow of a doubt, will be eventually CELEBRATED. When you CELEBRATE the Word, you will be motivated to share the gospel in the most innovative way possible.
He who sits [enthroned] in the heavens laughs [at their rebellion]. The [Sovereign] Lord scoffs at them [and in supreme contempt He mocks them].” Read Psalm 2:4 (AMP). Watch this, since God seat’s in heaven and laughs, what then do you think we should do? Laugh… Hey, laugh your way into health, provision and peace in Jesus Name.
