Just read your Bible: Benefits – Part 7

Just read your Bible“God is most beautifully praised when His people hear His Word, love His Word, and obey His Word.” Albert Mohler. The highest honour we can give to God is when we know, hear and do His Word. Listen to this, Jesus said to them, “My food (nourishment) is to do the will (pleasure) of Him Who sent Me and to accomplish and completely finish His work..” Read John 4:34 (AMPC). Can you see this? Jesus is saying, the Words of His Father NOURISHES. Therefore, it is clear that one of the benefits of studying our Bibles is nourishment for our soul.

“The statutes of the Lord are reliable and trustworthy, making wise the simple.” Read Psalm 19:7 (AMP). Wisdom and comprehension are available to the person who will study their Bible. In other words, the decrees and rulings of the Lord are consistent with His nature and character, hence the Bible says, “God is not a man, so He does not lieHe is not human, so He does not change His mindHas He ever spoken and failed to actHas He ever promised and not carried it through?” Read Numbers 23:19 (NLT). Clearly, we see RELIABILITY and TRUSTWORTHINESS are benefits to a student of the Word of God – and so should we all be.

Watch this, when you purchase a landed property, one is given the title deed of the property indicating total ownership. In like manner, the Bible is our title deed to the promises of God through the written word – Bible. Therefore, I want to encourage us today, to be certain and undaunted that the Word of God is absolutely RELIABLE and can be TRUSTED.

Heavenly Father, thank You because You are trustworthy, and I know every promise I find in the scriptures is backed with Your power to deliver, and for this, I am eternally grateful.

We write. You read. Be encouraged.

  1. God has given us His Word, and there is nothing we lack in Him. If we lack anything, it is because we do not know what His Word says.

    Blessings
