Just read your Bible: Benefits – Part 9

Just read your BibleYour life will be brought into focus through the lens of Scriptures.”

What do you desire the most beloved? Do you desire other things more than you desire to know your God through your Bible reading and study? Listen to what the Bible says, “More to be desired are they than gold, even than much fine gold; they are sweeter also than honey and drippings from the honeycomb.” Read Psalm 19:10 (AMPC). Listen to this, when you read and study your Bible, BIBLE HOPE becomes available to you in whatever circumstance you might find yourself. The Bible says it like this, “I am counting on the Lordyes, I am counting on him. I have put my hope in his word.” Read Psalm 130:15 (TPT). Where else beloved will you go and get hope from? [Your response to this question will be an indicator for where you are].

Watch this, “My chief desire in all my writings, is to exalt the Lord Jesus Christ and make Him beautiful and glorious in the eyes of people; and to promote the increase of repentance, faith, and holiness upon earth.” J. C. Ryle.

By YOUR TEACHINGS, LordI am warnedby obeying themI am greatly rewarded.” Read Psalm 19:11 (CEV). Reading and studying our Bibles help you and me navigate the affairs of this life. Can you imagine travelling on a long journey to a place where you have never been before without a navigation system? Will be hard, won’t it? Then imagine living life without any form of guidance? When you study your Bible, you have a heightened sense of RECEPTIVITY and SPIRITUAL ALERTNESS. If there was ever a time we need to be SPIRITUALLY alert, is now, because we require something far higher to navigate the challenges we will ever face on this earth.

Listen to Paul’s counsel, “Remember to stay alert and hold firmly to all that you believe. Be mighty and full of courage. Let love and kindness be the motivation behind all that you do.” Read 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 (TPT). When we study our Bible, LOVE and KINDNESS will be our mantra in everything we do.

My Father in Heaven, thank You for the gift of the Holy Spirit. Thank You for depositing in me the internal awareness to know and hear Your voice in the Name of Jesus, Amen.

We write. You read. Be encouraged.
