Build according to God’s pattern – Part 3b

Listen to this thought from a man whom I know is passionate about God. “Construct is a way of thinking. I see therefore that it is not so much what has been built, but the thinking and spirit behind the building are key for God’s approval. So building any endeavor in the kind that Jesus Christ Himself would have built, is also important. For example in our day to day engagement, whether in business or the other, how would Jesus have practiced advertising? What economic theory would have propounded for a nation to adopt? On what philosophy would He have written the judicial system“? Solomon Ikhioda.

Therefore, I see “construct” as a thought pattern that should line up with God’s Word and God’s way of doing things. Hey,  you are what you think, and the Bible counsels us, “So keep your thoughts continually fixed on all that is authentic and real, honorable and admirable, beautiful and respectful, pure and holy, merciful and kind. And fasten your thoughts on every glorious work of God, praising Him always.” Philippians 4:8 (TPT). Watch this, God’s design for you is eternally glorious and when it is all said and done, we will give Him honor and glory.

Scripture says, “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” Read Proverbs 23:7. Our motives are very important to God, hence the Bible says, “For the Lord is a God of knowledge, and by Him, actions are weighed (examined).” Read 1 Samuel 2:3b (AMP). And now, I can understand clearly why the tower of babel was not allowed to continue, because of their motives and purpose.  Put so nicely, “The pretended desires of many to behold the glory of Christ in heaven, who have no view of it by faith while they are here in this world, are nothing but self-deceiving imaginations.” John Owen. Watch this, if the source and thoughts of our imaginations are outside the will of God, then we should expect nothing from God.

The Scripture says, “Don’t let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers of this world, rather than from Christ.” Read Colossians 2:8 (NLT). Clearly, we can see the warning not to rely on intellectualism. See what the Bible says, “So that at the name of Jesuevery knee shall [must] bow [in submission], of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess and openly acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord (sovereign God), to the glory of God the Father.” Read Philippians 2:10-11 (AMP).

Listen to this, The word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Jeremiah, what do you see?” And I said, “I see the branch of an almond tree.” Then the Lord said to me, “You have seen well, for I am [actively] watching over My word to fulfill it.” Read Jeremiah 1:11-12 (AMP). Oh, this is quite clear, God was only committed to doing that which Jeremiah was able to see through the eyes of his spirit and heart. The Bible says, “The spirit (conscience) of man is the lamp of the LordSearching and examining all the innermost parts of his being.” Read Proverbs 20:27 (AMP).

My Father, thank You for giving me this opportunity and platform to be able to share Your word. Thank You, together with the help of the Holy Spirit, we will build a platform that honors Your name.

We write. You read. Be encouraged.
