I have found the Book of the Law – Part 8

I have found the Book...aWith the level of perversity, darkness and corruption in the nations, including in some of our churches, why won’t we as the people of God go find the Book of the Law? What is it that is stopping us from forging ahead even in the midst of opposition? Someone once said, “If you don’t stand for something, then you will stand for anything.” For you and me, we have the Book of the Law to stand on. Listen to this, “Don’t complain about what you are willing to tolerate.”

As God’s people, if we are not opening the Book of the Law, then we have no right to complain (pause and calmly think). It is within your capability not to be ignorant about the things of God. Stop going to dead churches [where God’s word is not rightly divided or where God’s Word is not the basis or foundation of truth]. Watch this, Judah suffered greatly in the hands of God because the leaders and prophets refused to hearken unto the voice of His Word.

The Bible says, “For the shepherds [of the people] have become [like brutes,] irrational and stupidAnd have not searched for the Lord or asked about Him or realized their need for Him; Therefore they have not been wise and have not prospered, And all their flocks are scattered.” Read Jeremiah 10:21 (AMP). Can you see this? Why has the Bible called the shepherds irrational and stupid? Quite simply, “they refused to search for and inquire of the Lord.”

Please hear my heart on this, the “Book of the Law” is the starting point, and we must not quit from searching for and opening the Book – the Bible. Let us receive nothing, believe nothing, follow nothing which is not in the Bible, nor can be proved by the Bible. J. C. Ryle.

My Father in heaven, thank You for giving us pastors who will feed God’s people with true knowledge and wisdom from Your Word. Thank You for every pastor and leader who has been called into the ministry to counter the 21st Century challenges of the Church, that we will stand strong and un-moved in Christ Name.

We write. You read. Be encouraged.
