20/20 Resolution – Part 11

2020 ResolutionI am sure we can all agree that the foundation upon which one builds anything is quite important. Therefore, constantly digging and going in-depth ought to be a daily routine. The Bible says, “Let me describe the one who truly follows me and does what I say. He is like a man who chooses the right place to build a house and then lays a deep and secure foundation. When the storms and floods rage against that house, it continues to stand strong and unshaken through the tempest, for it has been wisely built on the right foundation.” Read Luke 6:47 (TPT). Ladies and gentlemen, that foundation is Christ, “The solid rock upon which we stand.”

To construct and build a magnificent building will require that a lot of time has to be spent on the foundation; if it is to hold up any sizeable building. Watch this, it is the same with you and me if we want to flourish in the Kingdom of God. Listen to this, nourishment comes when there is an attachment to the source of the very thing which provides nourishment, and in like manner, God’s Word is our nourishment, hence the Bible says, “I am the sprouting vine and you’re My branches. As you live in union with Me as your source, fruitfulness will stream from within you—but when you live separated from me you are powerless.” Read John 15:5 (TPT). Can you see this beloved? Being grafted into the branch ought to be a way of life for you and me.

Think with me for a moment, why do dehydrations and stunted growth happen? It occurs when there is a lack of key components for growth and the cure for any deficiency is to provide the necessary substance: water or food, and in the case of the believer in Christ; we call it spiritual food – Rhema [a spoken and specific word]. The Bible says, “Bread alone will not satisfybut true life is found in every wordwhich constantly goes forth from God’s mouth.” Read Matthew 4:4 (TPT). Jesus said, “The Holy Spirit is the one who gives life, that which is of the natural realm is of no help. The words I speak to you are Spirit and life. But there are still some of you who won’t believe.” Read John 6:63 (TPT).

My Father, thank You. I am just grateful for every waking moment to feed on Your Word of truth. Thank You I reside in a free society where I can freely serve You without any hindrance or censure, and for that, I am extremely appreciative.

We write. You read. Be encouraged.
