20/20 Resolution – Part 12

2020 ResolutionMinistry is pretty simple. Love people and help them.” T.L. Osborn. The Bible says, “For God so loved the world…” Read John 3:16. Watch this, I am fully convinced that everything God did was motivated by His love for you and me. John 3:16 perfectly demonstrates this as I alluded to above. Think with me for a moment, we are all in the ministry of reconciliation.

Such hope [in God’s promises] never disappoints us, because God’s love has been abundantly poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.” Read Romans 5:5 (AMP). Watch this beloved, walking in the love of Christ is the currency of the Kingdom. The Bible says, “God’s love is the motivation of our lives.”

 As I was studying the Scripture for personal development, something was brought to my attention which I did not really observe in 1 Corinthians 13:1-13 (TPT).

  • “…yet I didn’t express myself with love, my words would be reduced to the hollow sound of nothing more than a clanging cymbal.” Read 1 Corinthians 13:1a;
  • “…but have never learned to love, then I am nothing.” Read 1 Corinthians 13: 2b;
  • “…without the pure motive of love, I would gain nothing of value.” Read 1 Corinthians 13:3b.

1 Corinthians 13:1-7 highlights to you and me the costly effects of not walking [practising] in love. Whilst 1 Corinthians 13:8-13 clearly shows you and me the outcome of functioning in the love of God. I really will encourage you to read the entire chapter of first Corinthians.

I love the way the writer ends the verse by saying, “Until then, there are three things that remain: faith, hope, and loveyet love surpasses them all. So above all else, let love be the beautiful prize for which you run.” Read 1 Corinthians 13:13 (TPT). Can you see this? Lord, help us to see this truth through the eyes of our hearts in Christ Name. Amen.

Here is my question for you and me to consider, where is the position of love? I will tell you, “So Above All Else.” Read 1 Corinthians 13:b (TPT). Love is at the top of the pyramid, folks.

My Father, I love You. I lift up my hands, my heart in praise, worship and adoration. You are too good and Your mercies, they endure forevermore. Thank You.

We write. You read. Be encouraged.
