Increasing and maintaining momentum this 20/20 and beyond will require this very important component called perception to be cultivated. Seeing in the Greek means to perceive [with inward spiritual perception]. See what the Bible says, The word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Jeremiah, what do you see?” And I said, “I see the branch of an almond tree.” Then the Lord said to me, “You have seen well, for I am [actively] watching over My word to fulfil it.” Read Jeremiah 1:11 (AMP). Beloved, it is important to see what God expects you to see, that way, He will fulfil what He shows you. Listen to this, “But if your eye is bad [spiritually blind], your whole body will be full of darkness [devoid of God’s precepts]. So if the [very] light inside you [your inner self, your heart, your conscience] is darkness, how great and terrible is that darkness!” Read Matthew 6:23 (TPT). Wath this, “seeing well” is key to our success in Christ.
Paul’s letter to the Ephesians, “And [I pray] that the eyes of your heart [the very centre and core of your being] may be enlightened [flooded with light by the Holy Spirit] so that you will know and cherish the hope [the divine guarantee, the confident expectation] to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints (God’s people), and [so that you will begin to know] what the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His [active, spiritual] power is in us who believe.” Read Ephesians 1:18-19 (AMP). From this text, it is clear Paul has placed emphasis on seeing. Therefore, beloved, advancing and maintaining momentum this year and beyond will require perfect 20/20 vision.
Think with me for a moment, why is seeing important? Paul tells us the following from Ephesians 1:18.
- For enlightenment [flooded with light by the Holy Spirit];
- For us to know[experiential] and cherish the hope [divine guarantee, the confident expectation];
- To experience God’s immeasurable, unlimited and surpassing greatness of His power.
Watch this, God has given you and me the ability to see with the eyes of the spirit; as that way, we get to see the full picture. See what the Bible says, “But blessed [spiritually aware, and favoured by God] are your eyes, because they see; and your ears because they hear.” Read Matthew 13:16 (AMP). Can you see this? Beloved, when we see through the eyes of God’s Word, we will walk circumspectly, hence, the Bible says, “Therefore see that you walk carefully [living life with honour, purpose, and courage; shunning those who tolerate and enable evil], not as the unwise, but as wise [sensible, intelligent, discerning people].” Read Ephesians 5:15 (AMP).
My Father in heaven, thank You for empowering my eyes to see Your goodness, mercy and grace; and for that, I am eternally grateful.
We write. You read. Be encouraged.
It’s vital we see through the eyes of God, so we have insight and foresight and are therefore able to make the right decisions 👍🏽
