Absence of God leads to anxiety – Part 2

Know the constitution.-4To those who are in the Kingdom of God, we are encouraged to steer clear from anxiety. And I do believe this is so important for you and me to heed because embracing anxiety is not consistent with what God says.  Therefore, is it possible to live a life without anxiety? Especially in a world where circumstances can turn without giving notices or announcements. People are anxious for several reasons, for example, employment anxiety, mortgage anxiety, health anxiety, financial anxiety, family anxiety, ministry anxiety and the list goes on and on. Now, listen to what the Bible says, Jesus taught His disciples, saying, “Don’t fuss about what’s on the table at mealtimes or if the clothes in your closet are in fashion. There is far more to your inner life than the food you put in your stomach, more to your outer appearance than the clothes you hang on your body.” Read Luke 12:22-23 (MSG). Don’t fuss means don’t fuss – what is it about this word don’t we understand? Yet, we never pass up an opportunity to fuss!

Anxiety is no respecter of persons; quite frankly, it casts its net wide and whosoever falls prey to it will suffer the consequences. Anxiety is not be managed, it must be eliminated. Stop being anxious and stop being worried, stop being fearful about the future. As the people of God, we are clear of this one thing, “God holds our future in His hands.” And whatever God holds is secure, so the question then becomes, why then are we anxious? Could it just be that we lack the knowledge and are not faithful to God’s Word? I believe anxiety is an indication of one’s faithlessness and a lack of trust in God and His promise.

Are you aware anxiety can have an impact on the quality of life one lives? With anxiety comes other sicknesses or conditions to the human body, for example, chronic headaches, respiratory problems, hopelessness, panic attacks, heart palpitations, sleep deprivation, etc. For any child of God, this is not what we should be experiencing, hence the Bible says, “I leave the gift of peace with youMy peace. Not the kind of fragile peace given by the world, but My perfect peace. Don’t yield to fear or be troubled in your hearts—instead, be courageous!” Read John 14:27 (TPT). As the people of God, we are to perpetually live in a state of peace and tranquillity.

Oh, you might ask, how possible is it to live like this, especially in a charged and wicked world? Glad you asked, and the Bible helps us answer this question; watch this, “Steep yourself in God’s reality.” And you might also be asking, what then is reality? Glad to respond, God’s Word is our reality; the Bible says, “Your Word is truth!” Read John 17:17 (TPT). To live an anxiety-free life, will require you and me steeping our lives in God’s Word – truth.

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word is might and my salvation. Thank You because You alone have given me peace from above, and for that, I am eternally grateful.

We write. You read. Be encouraged.
