“For you are God’s masterpiece…”

The word masterpiece in the architectural world refers to a structure or an edifice to behold, a form of extra ordinary piece of design, something superlative of its kind, an outstanding or extravagant piece of art, a fine display of skill, excellence and ingenuity, C’est magnifique, a showpiece and a gem. Now think with me for a moment, “FOR YOU ARE GOD’S MASTERPIECE.” In light of the plethora of words used to describe MASTERPIECE, you are God’s masterpiece! Seriously, I don’t know if I should be shouting, jumping, lifting up my hands in praise to God or what. You are His masterpiece, pause and calmly think on this. This is an awesome verse of scripture to behold and meditate upon. Maybe the reality of this scripture is circling in your mind; the gravity of this Bible verse is breathtaking. “For you are God’s masterpiece,” watch this, you are God’s finest, God’s purest and He saved the best for last, Hallelujah, Glory to God.

The Greek term here translated “workmanship” or “masterpiece” (poiema) is the root word from which we get our English word “poem.” In other words, you are God’s poem to the world, Selah. I am really trying to stay calm. Watch this, you are God’s writing in which He expresses His feelings and thoughts about you. Oh my God, this is too big…Can you see this? You are God’s best. I don’t know the circumstance of your birth, and how you came about, but this I know, “YOU ARE GOD’s MASTERPIECE.” From what the Lord has opened my eyes to see regarding this Bible verse; I want to say this authoritatively, never ever look down on yourself, God just told me from the Bible verse to remind you; “YOU ARE HIS MASTERPIECE.” Read Ephesians 2:10 (NIV). Remember the scripture which says, “Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out you formed me in my mother’s womb. I thank you, High God—you’re breathtaking! Body and soul, I am marvelously madeI worship in adoration—what a creation! Read Psalm 139:14-16 (MSG). Have you also noticed; a masterpiece is one of a kind, therefore, you are one of a kind, there isn’t another of you that exist on this planet, and like Abraham, you are in the solitude of greatness.

Beloved, probably up until now, you have not really looked at this scripture in light of who you really are; hey, now you know even more, you are God’s masterpiece, you are God’s perfect work of art, you are, you are, you are… Think of all the words in the English vocabulary, to fill in the blanks.

Have you observed, when people refer to masterpiece, it is often used in reference to buildings or paintings or some work of art, but never in relation to people? Why is this so? I believe as human beings, we don’t think highly of each other on that level; we think of people as of a lesser class, hence the thought never really comes to mind for us to think of one another as God’s masterpiece. But from what I have just shown you, and I believe what the Lord is opening your eyes to, we must think of each other through the eyes of the word of God. Now watch this, God has said, you and I are His masterpiece, therefore, we have no right to class anyone as inferior, neither do we have any right to be disrespectful towards anyone. I hope you are still as excited? These truths must be translated from the Bible into our daily lives brethren. We can’t be enlightened to such truth, then treat people in a certain way.

I am in no way condemning anyone, and if the truth be told, I have sometimes not looked at people from Gods perspective of been His masterpiece, hence I get into the word of God to cleanse me and to expose and purge wrong thoughts and replace it with His thoughts and His perspectives. This is very important, because our interactions with the world who don’t think like or believe what we believe can sometimes skew our perception about them, therefore entertaining thoughts of superiority over another. We have to be very careful and take heed to this warning. As Christians, we do it to each other, how much more to a non Christian! The Bible says, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Read Matthew 5:16 (KJV).

These are precious truths to help us walk in humility, honor and respect towards one another, and obedience towards God.  I strongly sense the Lord is re-awakening and re-introducing us to ourselves, for us to look at the work of grace and embrace who we truly are in Him. We are not, and neither is any of God’s creation inferior, we are not second class citizens because of the country we came from; a millions times no. Watch this, when we grasp this truth, evangelism becomes easy, reaching out to the so called destitute in society becomes easy, breaking through ethnic and racial barriers become easy, prejudices in the Body of Christ ceases, and these are the good works the Lord will have you and I do.

One can’t exhaust this type of topic in writing, because there is so much to be said, however, I do believe, I have stirred up something in your heart that will cause you to evaluate who you are in Him, and once you have gotten to the place of knowing, help enlighten someone else about their true identity in Christ.

This has truly been an eye opener, studying and hearing the Spirit of God bringing correction and revealing deep seated thoughts…Beloved, He is the all knowing God, hence the scripture says, “But I, the Lord, search all hearts and examine secret motives.” Read Jeremiah 17:10 (NLT).
