Let not your heart be troubled – Part 3

Know the constitution.-4People crave encouragement, and sometimes the greatest encouragement is the writing of words that endure. Perhaps you can pen a note of affirmation and approval to someone today.” David Jeremiah. Beloved, I have had times of discouragement for so many reasons, but one thing I can and will say is words from family and friends does help in such circumstances. And I believe this is one of the reasons Kolumns exists, to be able to share encouraging words with you and to see to it that we challenge and provoke one another unto good works.

Discouragement can come in several forms, from not getting that job offer after preparing for the interview, or after spending hours at the hair salon only to find out that the hair did not turn out the way you expected it; laughable indeed, but it does happen, ask all the ladies. “Encouragement is awesome. Think about it. It has the capacity to lift a man’s or a woman’s shoulders. To breathe fresh air into the fading embers of a smouldering dream. To actually change the course of another human being’s day, week, or life.” Charles Swindoll. Let us not be stingy with our words of encouragement because your words might just be the trigger of hope for someone else.

The Bible says, “Eli said, GO IN PEACE and may the God of Israel grant the request you have asked of Him.” Have you ever been thirsty for water? Think with me for a moment, imagine how relieved one will feel when someone brings water that will quench their thirst, especially at a time of need. I believe Eli’s words of encouragement gave Hannah strength. Brothers and sisters, our words of encouragement does matter, and you will never know the extent or impact your kind words will have on someone. Consequently, when you sense the need to send someone an encouraging text, do not hesitate to do so because that might just be what will change or bring the much-needed comfort.

My Lord and my Saviour thank You. “Your words were found and I ate them, and Your Words became a joy to me and the delight of my heart; For I have been called by Your name, O Lord God of hosts” Read Jeremiah 15:16 (AMP). God’s Word is our encouragement…

We write. You read. Be encouraged.
