From research, I found out that pitching requires skill, there is an art to how a PITCHER pitches. A PITCHER does not throw or release the ball from their hands without a purpose in mind, their main goal is to be on target. Jesus Christ, who is our model example, and the greatest PITCHER had a purpose in mind for humanity. What Jesus Christ pitched over 2000 years ago, is still being pitched and reverberating and causing ripples in the 21st Century; you would agree, that is some PITCHER of a Man. Watch this, Jesus pitched; and men, women and children came from all over the world to collect in their containers, so that they can equally without measure pour out from their own containers to bless their community.
I have a question for you to attempt; how does a PITCHER pitch? Send me your response via the comments tab.
When Jesus and His disciples were preparing the Passover, He instructed them in Luke 22:10 (TLB), saying to them, “As soon as you enter Jerusalem, you will see a man walking along carrying a pitcher of water; follow him into the house he enters. Hear me on this, the one with the PITCHER always has an assignment to fulfil, and there are people who have the sponge to soak up everything the PITCHER pours out. Now, Jesus said, “Follow him into the house.” Why? Because they always have something to pour out of their vessel into whoever would be ready to receive it with meekness of heart.
Everywhere Jesus went, He pitched, He was always followed; and this was because of what He had deposited in Him. I believe, when Jesus said to His disciples to follow the man; He was inherently saying, “following the one with the PITCHER would lead you to a place of fulfilment and purpose. In like manner, when you and I follow after Jesus, the PITCHER of all PITCHERS, we will certainly arrive at a place of peace, completeness in Him, fruitfulness and joy everlasting. See what Luke 4:18 (NLT) says, ““The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for He has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free,” this in essence is what the PITCHER pours out from his or her container.
For a PITCHER to succeed in life, he or she need two things to be at the forefront – DEPENDENCE ON GOD and CONFIDENCE IN GOD. And as long as these two things are in place, you’ll succeed, you’ll be unstoppable, you’ll be unmovable, you’ll be untouchable. Recall the Bible saying, ““If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Rivers of living water will brim and spill out of the depths of anyone who believes in me this way, just as the Scripture says.” Read John 7:38 (MSG). Let the water of the word begin to flow in and through you. Selah.

Oh thank you Jesus for this insight. It gets clearer by the day, “I know who I am.” I am a PITCHER who must be willing to pour out to others. MY pitcher has been designed for a specific purpose in mind, and I will fulfil that purpose in Christ Jesus. Thank you Lord for Ricky, and his writing. Continue to inspire and increase your word in his life and ministry in the Name of Jesus.
