In today’s world where there seems to be darkness, I am sure we can all agree that sound judgement and counsel is much needed. The rulers and kings of old understood and gave much attention to the counsel of the prophets. And I believe that same principle should apply today where kings and rulers will consult and heed the counsel of men and women of God. For example, king Darius understood and sought counsel from Daniel’s God. Darius knew Daniel had insight not of this world, but from above.
The Spirit of COUNSEL and MIGHT
“The power (dynamic ability) to carry out thought into action. God working with and giving you the strategic mind to bring to pass ideas from above into the earth realm which will bless humanity. Question, where do you get your counsel from? God’s word of from men? God uses and will use men to speak His counsel, however, the first place to go for counsel is the word – the seed. Hence the Bible says, “Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you.” Read Matthew 6:33 (NIV). With Godly counsel comes the will to execute. What sense will it make if you seek counsel and never intended on acting on it? The Bible says, the angels “Hearken – hear and do unto the voice of His word.”
The Spirit of KNOWLEDGE and of the FEAR OF THE LORD.
Being fully acquainted and persuaded about the will of God. Jesus said, “My nourishment comes from doing the will of God, who sent me, and from finishing His work.” Read John 4:34 (NLT). As Christians, it is required of you and me to have full working and applied knowledge of God and His ways. The Holy Spirit has been sent to help us fulfil this task of knowing God, hence the Bible says, “However, when the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all the truth, for He will not speak on his own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak, and He will declare to you the things that are to come.” Read John 16:13 (Berean Study Bible). Listen to this, “Fear of the LORD is the foundation of wisdom. Knowledge of the Holy One results in good judgment.” Read Proverbs 9:10 (NLT). This is huge…
Scripture says, “As He is, so are we in this world.” Read 1 John 4:17 (NIV). Please hear my heart on this matter, everything that Jesus is, we already are.
Question is, can we stand to believe the Bible in its entirety?
