large_when-god-seems-silent-nj7cg6wiThink along with me reader, a woman who is pregnant with child carries the baby for nine months in her womb, and on the due date gives birth. What do you think is happening for those 9 months? Great question, let me give you one important reason, the babies vital organs are being developed.

Now imagine with me Gods call on ones life; there is a time for the call to be impregnated, a time for the call to be harnessed, a time for the call to be prepared and a time for the call to be revealed. This entire process as you can appreciate will take sometime to reach its full maturity or potential, and in the process, vital spiritual disciplines and character and attitudes, and behaviours, are formed and perfected.

Moses was fully aware of Gods call on his life, which was to lead the children of Israel out of the land of bondage – Egypt. And if you look through Moses’s story, you notice, he was in the wilderness for 40 years. Okay, I am with you Ricky, and I understand now that the wilderness experience is part of life, and one is not exempt from it. To be proficient at what you do requires training, discipline, dedication and commitment.

The wilderness my friend is not a bad place like we have been told in times past, neither is it a place of punishment because of the things we might or might not have done. On the contrary, the wilderness is a place to be cherished and embraced. It is a place of preparation for your unveiling, it is a place for you to be trained and made proficient in your craft.

If you find yourself in the wilderness right now, rejoice and be exceedingly glad for the Lord your God is perfecting His plan purpose and pursuits for you. Remember, “for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfil His good purpose.” Philippians 2:13
