HRH: Royals are Honorable – Part 1

imagesWhen we talk about royalty, the one person that comes to mind is the Queen of England, Elizabeth. And the reason she earned that title is because of the lineage she was born into, she was born right into royalty. The implications of her royalty is passed down from generation to generation. In other words anyone associated with the Queen of England automatically becomes an heir or heiress. The word royalty is defined thus, “As individuals carefully selected as being the best of a class.” The term also refers to majesty, magnificence and splendour. Now let us look at what the Bible says, “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.” Read 1 Peter 2:9 (NIV). This verse of scripture helps you and I understand who we truly are. Our definition is not from mans perspective, or the worlds standard of measure; a million times no, our definition is from Gods word, and He has called us ROYALS, therefore, you are royalty.

Research reveals ROYALS are well groomed and mentored right from an early age. They are taught and introduced into the culture and mannerisms of an heir or heiress, how to never look down on themselves to always project majestic behaviour, they are also taught how to eat grapes; amazing is it not? In like manner, because you belong to “The King of kings, and the Lord of lords” being groomed to carry out the functions of the Kingdom now becomes critically important. There is a way you and I must project the Kingdom of God to which we belong, hence the Holy Spirit has been assigned to daily train and acquaint us with the way of the Kingdom of God. In other words, you have a personal trainer at your disposal to enlighten your understanding about your royal status.

Like Queen Elizabeth of England, she was born into royalty, and in like manner 2000 years ago you were chosen. Think with me for a minute, recall how David was chosen as king over Israel? The Bible says, and God considered David’s brothers, and chose none of them. But as soon as David was sent for, scripture tells us and the Lord said, “This is the one; anoint him.” Read 1 Samuel 16:12 (NLT).

Beloved, you are the chosen and anointed of God. Let me put it this way, God saved the best for last, hence He chose you above all else. You might think there is nothing of significance in your life right now, but I am saying to you, God chose you, and like Esther, “For such a time as this.” As a royal, there is an obligation placed upon you to project the values of the Kingdom you represent, therefore, brighten up, take your bow to the throne  of grace and exercise your royal lineage and authority.

You are Gods best, and that is why He chose you, and put His royal robe of honour, grace and glory upon you. So is it okay if I address you in a way befitting of a royal? Yes, you may. HRH [Insert your name here].

We write. You read. Be encouraged.
